  🌟 CTE Weekly Highlights ✨ Looking Back 🔎 Finalize Budgets Budgets were finalized and approved. 📋 DLT Meeting – Tuesday The agenda included leadership work with the Association of Washington School Principals and a discussion about budgets. 🤝 Dual Credit Articulations Paula met with the Workforce Dean at SPSCC to explore additional course articulations that could help high school students earn more Dual Credit. 📅 Coming Up This Week 🔎 Budgets Chelsea will begin entering budget transfers in Qmaltive, with the goal of having everything approved by the Business Office next week. 🤝 Dual Credit Articulations Please sign your Teacher Verification forms and get them to Chelsea this week.   🌟 CTE Weekly Highlights ✨ Looking Back 🔎 Qmaltive Data Clean-Up While processing reports, we discovered some system errors that had us reporting incorrect data. All errors have been identified, and Chelsea has communicated with building registrars to ensure corrections are made. 🚀 Budget Prep Our team completed the budget-to-FTE comparison work last week. 💻 E-Commerce Access The Business Office should now have everyone’s e-commerce access set up. If your access isn’t working, please connect with Chelsea so she can check on the status. 🎓 Graduation Pathways Document We finalized the 2025–26 Graduation Pathways document. Counselors will use this tool to help ensure students have access to a wide variety of graduation pathways.   🌟 CTE Weekly Highlights ✨ Looking Back : Fourth Day Count:  Last Tuesday marked the first official count of the school year—a key step that sets the stage for budgets. With the transition to Qmaltive, our CTE Office staff completed September reporting manually this time around. It was a busy week behind the scenes, and we truly missed being out in schools with you! 📅 Coming Up This Week 🔎 Qmaltive Data Clean-Up:  While processing reports, we discovered some system errors that had us claiming incorrect data.   👋 Hello CTE Team! Welcome to the first week of school! I hope this blog finds you settling into your classrooms and getting ready for the adventure ahead. Tomorrow, your students will walk through the door, and I know they’ll be so excited to see you and begin another year of fun and learning. Last week’s district-wide IIRP training was a great way to kick things off. Welcome Back, CTE Team! We’re excited to kick off another school year with the OSD CTE team! We hope your summer brought the rest, adventure, or play you needed to recharge for the year ahead. Personally, I was fortunate to spend time with family—and the summer weather couldn’t have been more perfect. 🌟 Highlights from Last Week 📘 CTE Professional Development – We started the year by diving into our Annual Program Documents. Thank you to everyone who joined and contributed to the conversations that set the tone for the year ahead. 🩺 CPR/First Aid Certification – A reminder: all CTE teachers, across all content areas, must hold a current CPR/First Aid certificate to access CTE funds. Signing Off for Summer – CTE Blog Pause & Summer Availability

As the school year comes to a close, regular blogging will be paused while the incredible CTE teachers of the Olympia School District take a well-earned summer break ! 🌞✌️ We’ll return with updates, reminders, and new opportunities at the end of August . Until then, have an amazing, restful, and safe summer! While You Rest, We’re Still Here Although teachers are on break, the CTE Department will remain available and working through most of the summer. If you need anything, don’t hesitate to reach out! Please note: Knox summer hours may vary , and CTE staff will be working from other locations some days.
