Winter Break and Updates from Last Week

Hi Team CTE, Happy Almost Winter Break! I’m sure this week will be filled with a mix of emotions. Some students are excited, while others may be feeling a bit of sadness, depending on how they experience time with family—whether that brings joy, loneliness, or pressure. I truly appreciate all the hard work you're putting in to ensure students know it’s okay to feel however they need to during this time. I also hope that you get exactly what you need from this Winter Break—whether it’s rest, relaxation, time with family, something completely different, or a little bit of all of the above. I plan to take my Furlough days along with vacation and holiday time, so my schedule this year will mirror yours. I believe this is the best way to take those unpaid days with minimal impact on you, your programs, and your students. Program Review and Climate Survey

Hi Team - As we move through December, it’s hard to believe 2025 is just around the corner! I’ve truly enjoyed visiting your classrooms over the past few weeks, seeing you in action, and learning more about the incredible work you’re doing with your students. Thank you for welcoming me into your spaces and for sharing your work with me. I look forward to continuing this in the new year and beyond. To gather your thoughts and feedback, I’ll be sending out an internal Climate Survey before Winter Break. While it’s not required, I hope you’ll take a moment to share your perspectives on how the CTE office is meeting your needs—and where we could improve. You’ll have the option to include your name or remain anonymous. I may share general results with my supervisor and building administrators, as appropriate, but all identifiable responses will remain confidential. Weekly Updates

Hi CTE Team - I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable holiday last week and were able to spend time in ways that brought you joy. I dedicated the first two days of last week to completing three different grant applications. If you’ve heard that I would include you in our application, I’m happy to confirm that has been done. Please send positive thoughts our way as we await the results of our requests. The Winter PLC Meetings have been scheduled. These meetings will focus on reviewing the Work-Based Learning reporting documents. We’ll begin the process of completing this document alongside grading for Semester 1. Calendar invitations have been sent to HS teachers.  I will register attendees in PDEnroller in case they are interested in earning clock hours. Here are the details for the meetings: OHS : December 18, 2024, from 3:00 - 4:00 in Skip's room CHS : January 22, 2024, from 3:00 - 4:00 in Amanda's room Updates from the Past Two Weeks: Technology Advisory Committee AI G...
