🌟 CTE Weekly Highlights

πŸ‘‹ Welcome back from Winter Break!

I hope you all had a restful and restorative Winter Break and that you’re returning this morning ready to jump back into the meaningful, student-centered work you have planned for the winter months ahead. ✨ New year, fresh energy, and so much good work to continue.

πŸ”™ Looking Back

πŸ’°   Grant Work – Perkins Grant work was successfully completed, and all final documents were submitted on December 19, 2025. Thank you to everyone who contributed to keeping this work moving forward.

πŸ“š   Professional Growth – Certification updates were sent to those with conditional endorsements expiring in June 2026. If you need support completing your Professional Training Plan or if you’d like time with Chelsea or Paula to walk through your renewal process together, please feel free to schedule a meeting here:  πŸ‘‰ https://calendar.app.google/ssyEgb8w6xmd6Jr67

πŸ“… Coming Up This Week

πŸ’°   OSPI Supports – Paula will be serving on interview panels Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday for three new OSPI Program Supervisor positions. These interviews will take place mid-day via Zoom, and she will be available in the office the remainder of those days.

πŸ’»   Technology Replacement Schedule – Paula will continue drafting a proposed Technology Replacement Schedule and will share it with you for feedback. Your insight will help us check assumptions, add context, and ensure the plan reflects real classroom needs before anything is finalized. Our goal is to have a clear, transparent schedule in place by spring so everyone knows when to expect future tech upgrades.

πŸ“˜   Framework Review Schedule – A reminder that program frameworks must be updated every five years to ensure alignment with current standards. Frameworks should always be treated as living, working documents and be available for OSPI review at any time. The OSD CTE Office will publish the upcoming review schedule in the coming weeks. Please note that future framework updates must use the OSPI-approved Framework Template and align with updated standards.

πŸ–₯️   PC Minis Available – CTE currently has approximately 20 one-year-old PC Minis available from a collapsed lab. If a small desktop could support equipment or serve as a secondary machine in your space, please let us know. Any units not claimed by CTE will be released to Basic Ed at the end of January.

✨   Closing Thoughts

Wishing you all the very best as we step into 2026—at school, at home, and in life. Thank you for being such a thoughtful, dedicated group of educators and for consistently providing your students with engaging, meaningful learning experiences. We’re grateful to be in this work with you. πŸ’›
