πŸ‘‹ Heading Into Winter Break!

It’s always remarkable how a short week off can make the return feel extra long — a combination of darker mornings, shorter days, and the collective effort of getting back into our routines. This time of year often feels like a final, determined push toward winter break, and I hope you’re finding moments of energy, collaboration, and joy along the way.

πŸ”™ Looking Back

Collaboration & Workspace Time – Chelsea and I carved out time to regroup on planning, upcoming projects, and a handful of December and January deadlines.

πŸ’° Grant Work – Perkins Grant work kicked off, and we wrapped up final research and documents tied to the FEPP grant.

πŸ§‘‍🏫 CTE, Instructional, Counselor & School Supports – This week included an OSPI meeting, strategic planning conversations with teachers, and Chelsea’s review of CPR card compliance and certification expiration timelines.

πŸ”§ Systems & Operations – Timesheets, travel requests, tech replacement planning, and the ongoing SchooLinks sync all received attention.

πŸ“… Coming Up This Week

πŸ’° Grant Work – Perkins Grant work continues and is on track to wrap up this week, with final documents due December 19, 2025.

🏫 School Visits – Chelsea and I will be out in schools this week, and we’re excited to connect and see the fantastic work happening in your classrooms.

πŸ“š Professional Growth – Certification updates were sent last week to those with conditional endorsements expiring in June 2026. If you'd like time in January to review your renewal process, please schedule a meeting here: https://calendar.app.google/ssyEgb8w6xmd6Jr67

As we move through this last stretch of Semester 1, I hope you’re experiencing sparks of success, creativity, and connection in your spaces. Thank you for the energy, care, and professionalism you bring every day — especially during the darkest weeks of the year. Wishing you moments of warmth and momentum as we approach winter break. ❄️πŸ’™πŸŒŸ
