π CTE Weekly Highlights
π Heading Into Winter Break!
We are so close—just four more wakeups until Winter Break! I hope this upcoming time away gives each of you exactly what you need: rest, joy, connection, quiet, fun… or all of the above. Thank you for the care, creativity, and steady commitment you bring to your work every day. I truly hope this season brings you moments of peace and celebration in whatever ways are meaningful to you and yours. ✨
π Looking Back
π° Grant Work – Perkins Grant work continued with the plan to wrap the week of December 15.
π« School Visits – Chelsea and I loved being out in schools and spending time with so many of you last week. For those we missed, we left a little treat behind as a small hello. It was energizing to see your classrooms, your students, and the great work happening as we close out 2025—you should be proud of what you’re building.
π Professional Growth – Certification updates were sent to those with conditional endorsements expiring in June 2026. If you’d like time in January to walk through your renewal process together, please feel free to schedule a meeting here:

π Coming Up This Week
π° Grant Work – Perkins Grant documents will be finalized this week, with materials due December 19, 2025.
π» Technology Replacement Schedule – I’ll be working over Winter Break to draft a proposed Technology Replacement Schedule. I’ll share it with you for feedback so you can help correct assumptions or add context before anything is officially adopted.
π Framework Review Schedule – A reminder that program frameworks must be updated every five years to ensure alignment with current standards. Frameworks should always be treated as working documents and be available for OSPI review at any time. The OSD CTE Office will publish the upcoming review schedule in the coming weeks.
π₯️ PC Minis Available – CTE has approximately 20 one-year-old PC Minis that were removed from a collapsed lab. If a small desktop could support equipment or serve as a secondary machine in your space, please let us know. Any units not claimed by CTE will be released to Basic Ed in January.
✨ Closing Thoughts
We’ll be pressing pause on the blog for the next two weeks. Until then, please take good care of yourselves and enjoy a well-earned Winter Break. Thank you for all you do—for your students and for one another. We can’t wait to see you in 2026, rested and ready for what’s next. π«
