🌟 CTE Weekly Highlights

Looking Back

📘 National Career Cluster Alignment – CTE began drafting an overview connecting the National Career Cluster framework to OSD’s local programs and pathways, aligning our work with national standards.

💬 TILT Meeting – Focused on Restorative Practices and Districtwide Growth Goals, supporting both academic and social-emotional development across classrooms.

💰 Grant Work – Continued planning for the Perkins Reserve mini-grant.

🏫 School Visits – Paula spent time in schools and classrooms this week, strengthening connections between education, career readiness, and community partnerships.


📅 Coming Up This Week

💰 Grant Work – Finalize and submit the Perkins Reserve mini-grant, Career Prep Grant, and FEPP grant to fund innovative programs and expand student opportunities.

📰 OSPI AI in CTE – Monthly updates on key education initiatives and opportunities provided by OSPI staff.

🦃 Thanksgiving Schedule – Paula and Chelsea will both be out the week of Thanksgiving. Chelsea will be available on Friday, November 21.  Paula will be on vacation but available via email or chat on Monday, the 24th, and Tuesday, the 25th.

🏫 School Visits – Paula will spend time in westside schools this week, looking forward to checking in and hearing about the great things being done in your classrooms..


Wrapping Up the Week

As we head into the rest of November, our CTE work continues to build momentum, strengthening partnerships, refining systems, and keeping students at the center of every decision. Whether in classrooms, meetings, or out in the community, we’re grateful for the collaboration and shared commitment that make this work meaningful.

  🌟 CTE Weekly Highlights ✨ Looking Back 🔎 Finalize Budgets Budgets were finalized and approved. 📋 DLT Meeting – Tuesday The agenda included leadership work with the Association of Washington School Principals and a discussion about budgets. 🤝 Dual Credit Articulations Paula met with the Workforce Dean at SPSCC to explore additional course articulations that could help high school students earn more Dual Credit. 📅 Coming Up This Week 🔎 Budgets Chelsea will begin entering budget transfers in Qmaltive, with the goal of having everything approved by the Business Office next week. 🤝 Dual Credit Articulations Please sign your Teacher Verification forms and get them to Chelsea this week.   🌟 CTE Weekly Highlights 🌱 Weekly Reflection The start of a new semester offers space for reflection and forward thinking. It’s a time to celebrate what worked, adjust where needed, and continue strengthening pathways that connect students to skills, credentials, and meaningful postsecondary opportunities.
